More Power

Let’s be honest…you can never have too many power receptacles.  Now that my RTT is on top of the cruiser, I can now more easily run power up to the tent for charging various devices.  I came across a nice heavy duty 12ft DC outlet extension cable at a truck stop and the hamster started turning the wheel up stairs.

I had an extra DC outlet from previous installs and picked up a twin USB outlet, both of these from West Marine, to go with it.  I chose to use the small access panel in the rear to mount them to.  Once the holes drilled out, ran wires from my rear fuse block to power them.

Now I can plug in the extension cable to the DC outlet, as well as I have a few long USB extension cables, and route them up to the tent when needed.  I prefer this to running a permanent cable up to the rack.
