Swing outs…

20140316-160743.jpgIt seems I can’t leave things well enough alone. Changed up the rear swing outs a bit. Main reason for the tire swap was weight. After the new springs went in, most of the weight sits on the driver’s side, just the way things were done. So she’s been leaning some. Now I am well aware of the “60 lean”, but I don’t have to live with it.

So moving the tire to the passenger side was my solution. I know this question comes up some times, which side is better? Yes, the driver’s side is better for over the shoulder rear viewing, but really I doesn’t matter much to me, more things will be blocking the view either way.

20140316-161415.jpgWith a rack able to walk about on and better use, I made up another ladder. I have made a couple in the past and this is by far the better looking of them. This also gave me my mounting location for my 6lb propane tank for camping.

20140316-161107.jpgThe tire side hi-lift mount was improved some for better security and also ended up with the perfect amount of space for my Rotopax I have had for a bit, just no where to mount. It’s like it was made intentionally for it… umm of course it was.

All in all I am pleased with the look and better function of it all, and yes the lean is leveling out. And best of all, Splatman is no longer covered!
