Body and Frame Swap

By Tony K

Time and road salt eventually take their toll on our wagons resulting in the dreaded body or frame swap.  But other than lots of bolts, wires and fuel lines it’s really not that hard to do.  The main concern is to be safe as you will have a lot of metal up in the air and a chassis rolling around to add to the fun.

Adding Gauges

By Tony K

Finding a place to add one gauge is pretty easy in our wagons.  But add more than that plus a few switches and it can get pretty frustrating.  I had already installed the air pressure gauge for my compressor set up but I recently purchased a mechanical oil pressure gauge and decided I wanted to add a voltmeter that I already had on hand.  This complicated things as there just wasn’t any extra room to be found.  So time to do some more thinking inside the wagon for a solution.

Roof Top Tent

Toward the end of  building Mini-me, I knew I wanted to try a roof top tent (RTT).  And what a better place to put one than on top of the trailer. Yes, I could save the money, use a good ground tent and be done with it, but that’s no fun. I liked the idea of setting up the tent in just seconds and already have sleeping bags and pillows inside ready to go.

Skidplates and Armor

By Tony K

If you are going to wheel a wagon you are going to need armor.    You can wheel without it but more than likely you will regret it.  This write up is just a bit of an overview and elsewhere on the site you find more detailed info on these modifications.
