Tech and Fabrication
Hesitant 2F
-By Eric B.
During the test drive of Ben’s 60 I noticed some hesitation when accelerating up to about 2000 RPMs. I figured it must just need a tune up and adjustment, nothing I couldn’t handle. Back at the shop, adjusted the timing, cleaned the carb and intake, adjusted mixture and idle, all that good stuff. The result was a better, but not good enough, still noticable hesitation.
Broken Bolts
By Tony K
It happens to all of us. Sometimes it’s not directly our fault but we have to fix them none the less. But don’t panic, even on the trail, as the fix is not that far away.
Suspension Tech
The stock suspension is a bit on the weak side after 20 odd years (or more) that these rigs have been on the road. But fortunately for us there are a lot of options available. You could just replace the stock springs but I feel there are better options out there.
Roof Top Tent
Toward the end of building Mini-me, I knew I wanted to try a roof top tent (RTT). And what a better place to put one than on top of the trailer. Yes, I could save the money, use a good ground tent and be done with it, but that’s no fun. I liked the idea of setting up the tent in just seconds and already have sleeping bags and pillows inside ready to go.
