Hood Light

I just finished doing a full tune-up of Lilly this week, most of it done during the evening. After trying to get enough light under the hood using any combination of magnet, battery, chorded and adjustments, I thought how nice it would be to have a permanent light under the hood.

Went by the local 4 Wheel Parts and found these Rigid Industries flat LED lights. Mountable either with bolts, screws, or adhesive. I could have installed a hood pin for the light to come on when I open the hood, but chose to have it switched. Used a hole already in the fender well to mount the switch, ran the wires up through the hood braces and mounted the light next to the hood latch catch. In this position it angles back enough to provide light to the entire engine bay.

With a light this compact there are so many possible uses, rock lights, interior lighting and rear lift hatch light come to mind.
