Thirst Quencher

Spent the day cleaning up shop and small projects.

One being adding a carrier for my water can. I usually keep it inside next to the fridge, but have wanted to keep it outside. I chose to store it in place of one of the fuel cans. I have never been in a situation that I have had to use both cans, but still am able to switch back easily if needed. I had some spare metal around from an old Confer rack. It really is nothing fancy, just bent some tubing in a vice and added a flooring to use to bolt to the carrier. This was also my excuse to fire up the welder, which has been some time since I used it last, and some welds are good indicators of that fact. But it’s like riding a bike.

Once made up I cam across an old Toyota emblem. I decided to do what Tony did to his rack recently and add it to the back. So I stripped down the fresh paint and welded on some tabs. It goes to show that the small details can really enhance the look of somethings.

Thanks Tony for the inspiration.
